Leroy John Blount, Jr., 79, of Morocco, Indiana passed away at his home on Thursday, February 20, 2020. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 11, 1940 to Leroy John Blount, Sr. and Ruth Lillian (Hartley) Blount. He spent most of his life living in Chicago and moved to Morocco 15 years ago.
On August 22, 1958, in Chicago, he married Anna Mae (Meyer) Blount. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2016.
Leroy was a truck driver. He drove for Kroger Grocers, Carolina Freight and ABF Freight. He was a member of Teamsters Local #705 in Chicago for 33 years. He retired in 2001. Leroy enjoyed woodworking, farming, and he was a Chicago Bears fan.
He is survived by three children: John Blount (Lauri), Beth Kregear (John), and William Blount (Ronald); one brother, David Blount (Cindy); 8 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Blount; one son, Leroy John Blount, Jr.; one grandson, John Blount; and his parents, Leroy and Ruth Blount.
