Lisa Marie Isom

Lisa Marie Isom, 43, of Rensselaer, Indiana died Thursday, December 8, 2016 in a car accident in Lafayette, Indiana. She was born in Rensselaer on June 9, 1973, the daughter of Ellis Manns and the late Nella Lou (Rowe) Manns. She was a lifelong area resident.

On October 9, 1993, in Gary, Indiana, Lisa married Derek Isom. She was a supervisor for Viskase Corporation in Kentland, Indiana and attended church at Jesus Christ Outreach Ministries in Lake Station, Indiana. She enjoyed antiques, yard sales, and auctions, and had a knack for decorating. She was a big football and basketball fan, her favorite teams being the Baltimore Ravens and the Chicago Bulls.

Lisa is survived by her loving family: husband Derek Isom of Rensselaer; four children: Martina Paige (Manns) Isom of Indianapolis, Andrea Louise Isom, Elijah Derek Julius Isom, and Leah-Katherine Isom, all of Rensselaer; two sisters, Phyllis Ann “Bill-Bill” Lewis (husband: Gardell) and Sheila Lynn “Beeger” Simonton (husband: Jerry), both of Rensselaer; and one brother, Weddie Ray Manns of Rensselaer. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Nella Lou Manns.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 3-7 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Pastor Wanda Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Weston Cemetery.
