Margaret Hampshire

Margaret Lucille Hampshire, 68, passed away April 7th in Ft. Wayne. Marge or Maggie, as she was known by her family was born January 26, 1942 in Kankakee, IL, daughter of the late Ernest and Ethel (Page) Jones. She attended school at Momence, IL and spent most of her life in Jasper and Newton Counties, moving to Ft. Wayne 2 years ago. She worked at McDonald’s for a short time and attended Victory Baptist Church in Roselawn before moving to Ft. Wayne. Children surviving are: Tonya Graham of Rensselaer, Judy (Mrs. Bruce) Cain of St. Anne, IL, Brian (Michelle) Johnson of Warrensburg, MO and Richard Michael Johnson of Hamburg, IA. There are 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Surviving siblings are, Helen (Jim) Mauck of Medaryville, Louis Gundy of Casselbury, FL, Agnes Garner and Rose Sinsabaugh of Lake Village, Martha Iliff of Roselawn, Violet Nelson of DeMotte and Ernest (Bobbie) Jones of Delphi. Preceding her in death were her parents, 3 brothers and a sister. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 10th at 10:00 A.M. at Living Stone Church of the Nazarene in Rensselaer with Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten officiating.
