Martha Peacock

Martha Peacock, age 86 of Morocco, passed away Wed., August 31, 2011 at George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center in Brook. She was born in Morocco on August 7, 1925, daughter of the late Lloyd Brunton and Mildred (Graves) Brunton.

Martha attended school in Morocco and was a lifelong area resident. In 1944 she married her first husband, Carroll Ketcham. He preceded her in death. In 1961 she married her second husband, Carl Peacock. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 1996.

Martha was a homemaker and attended the Morocco 1st United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing Bunco and pinochle. She loved her family, especially babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Martha is survived by two daughters, Donna Kubal (husband: Denny) of Nashville, IN and Vena Fredericks (husband: Steve) of Oceanside, CA; a son, Brian Ketcham of Goshen; a brother, Gaylord Brunton (wife: Marjorie) of Lake Village; and a sister, Shari Warne (husband: Bob) of Portage. Nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Carroll, her second husband Carl, and her son Craig Ketcham.

Friends may call Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel of Morocco. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Morocco 1st United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Waggoner and Rev. Thomas D. Vance officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
