Michael A. Osborn

Michael A. “Ozz” Osborn, 69, of Rensselaer, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Franciscan Health Rensselaer. He was born in Kniman on May 10, 1952 to John and Doris Osborn. He was a 1970 graduate of Rensselaer Central High School. On July 6, 1987 he married Patsy Griffin in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ozz worked for Northway Products and Sealy Springs in Rensselaer. He was a bartender at Northside Tavern until his retirement in 2016. He was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Ozz loved sports and was a big fan of the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Bears, and Notre Dame. He enjoyed playing golf, gambling, and reading.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Griffin-Osborn of Rensselaer; two step-children, Belinda “Sissy” Oliver of Rensselaer and Rodney Strain of Monticello; sister-in-law Rose Osborn of Rensselaer; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Doris Osborn, and two brothers, Jim and Jack Osborn.
