Norman Dale Miller

Norman Dale Miller, Jr., 48, of rural Rensselaer, passed away Wednesday morning, November 26, 2014 at his brother’s home. He was born in Munster on April 15, 1966, the son of Sharon Lee (Cremeens) Miller and the late Norman Dale Miller, Sr.

Norman graduated from Crown Point High School in 1984. He spent most of his life in Lake County and worked as a laborer for Laborers’ International Union of North American – Local 41. He enjoyed fishing and racing his #7 stock car at Crown Point Speedway.

Norman is survived by his loving family: his mother, Sharon Miller of Rensselaer; one brother, Jeff (Sue) Miller of Rensselaer; one daughter, Francesca “Frankie” Miller of Cedar Lake; and two nephews: Christopher and Joey. He was preceded in death by: his father; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at 10 a.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Pastor Larry B. Hansen officiating.
