Pamela Sue Hobson

Pamela Sue Hobson (née Pope), age 68, of Morocco, Indiana, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 19, 2016. She was born in Bradley, Illinois on July 14, 1947 to the late Wayne and Juanita (St. Germaine) Pope. Pamela married her husband Robert on November 23, 1965 in Gary, Indiana.

Pamela was a homemaker, and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook. She enjoyed playing bingo and Pogo on her computer, and watching television, especially game shows and crime shows. She was an avid collector of figurines, including clowns, frogs and trolls. She adored her two dogs, Lea Maria and Gizmo; her parrot, Ernie; and Charlie, her cockatoo.

Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert E. Hobson, Sr.; four sons: Robert E. Hobson, Jr., Randall (Becky) Hobson, Ryan (Jennifer) Hobson, and Rod (April) Hobson; two brothers, Jess Ray (Carol) Pope (O’Donógue) and Wayne Ray Pope; two sisters, Crystal Fisher and Lisa Pope; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her sister, Andrea; and three children: Melody, Rodney and Raymond.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 3-7 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. James O’Donógue officiating.
