Patricia Ann Doty

Patricia Ann Doty, 79, of Morocco, Indiana passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Morocco on June 25, 1942, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Swartz) Bennett.

On January 6, 1962, in Morocco, she married her husband of 57 years, Myron Edwin Doty. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2019.

Pat worked as a cashier at the former Ben Franklin store in Morocco. She also was a receptionist at Dr. Reed’s optometrist office in Kentland. She was a member of the United Church of Morocco. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, puzzles and fishing.

She is survived by her three children: Yvonne Stearns of Brookston, Darrin (Kristine) Doty of Wolcott and M.C. (Whitney) Doty of Corpus Christi, Texas; 12 grandchildren: Joshua (Bri) Morgan, Danielle (Dr. Kurt) Riess, Michael Dust, Sheldon (Greg) Dollinar, Travis Phillips, Jason (Chelsea) Feldman, Brittney Herron, Taylor Doty, Logan Doty, Hayden Doty, Jack Doty and Adalyn Doty; 12 great-grandchildren: Destiny, Cheyanne, Sawyer, Mathilde, Nathaniel, Patrick, Elizabeth, Jordan, Anthony, Hayden, Phillip and Daniel; one great-great-grandchild, Haizley; one brother, Larry (Suzanne) Bennett of Braidwood, Illinois; and one brother-in-law, William Davis of Manteno, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Bennett; her husband, Myron Doty; one brother, Henry Bennett and his wife Pat; two sisters, Jean Davis and Dianna Bennett; and one son-in-law, William “Bill” Stearns.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. (CST) with Pastor Patrick Gutwein officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the funeral.
