Pauline Oliver

Pauline Oliver, 79, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away November 23, 2022 at the Rensselaer Care Center. She was born in Salyersville, Kentucky on March 5, 1943, the daughter of John and Susan (Whitaker) Hopkins.

On December 3, 1957, in Salyersville, Kentucky, she married William H. “Bill” Oliver. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2007.

Pauline was a caretaker who enjoyed helping others. She was a member of Victorious Life Assembly of God. She loved spending time with her family, going out to eat, and thrift store shopping. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by four children: Thresa Coleman, Paula Jay, Diane Lohrke, and Bill Oliver; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William; one daughter, Donna Lowry; one granddaughter, Faith Jay; two sons-in-law, Phillip Coleman and PJ Jay; five brothers; and five sisters.

Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Pastor Melvin Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Weston Cemetery.
