Randall Decker

Randall R. Decker, Sr., age 62 of Morocco, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 13, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Central City, KY on July 7, 1949, son of Katherine (Fraze) Warman and the late Rig Decker.

On Sept. 17, 1967 Randall married LaDonna Matheny, and she survives. Randall was a forklift operator for the Ford Motor Co. Hegewisch Plant in Chicago for 30 years, retiring in 1997. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks Ice Hockey Team. He loved camping and spending time with his family and friends.

Randall is survived by his wife LaDonna Decker; son Randall “Randy” Decker, Jr. (wife: Julie) of Morocco; two daughters, Tammy Ponder (husband: Corey) of Morocco and Lisa Warner (husband: Steven) of Roselawn; and three sisters: Rosemary Warman, Angela Warman, and Toni Warman, all of Cedar Lake. Eight grandchildren also survive: Tiffany, Trask, Stephanie, Trace, and Travis Darabaris, Brady and Allison Decker, and Colton Manning. A great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Scott also survives. Randall was preceded in death by his father, Rig Decker, his step-father, Herman Warman, and a grandson, Eddie Thomas.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home in Morocco. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Greg Waggoner officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
