Robert Johnson, 82 of Morocco, Indiana passed away peacefully Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Born on August 23, 1942 at Jasper Co, Rensselaer, IN. to Eric John and Everal (Fleming) Johnson he was their youngest son.
He grew up in Newton Co. and attended Brook HS and was a 1961 graduate. He enjoyed playing Baseball, Basketball and Track. While growing up East of Brook on the Iroquois River he learned to fish, trap and hunt for small game.
On January 26, 1964 he married the love of his life, Beverly Ann Beasy from Mt. Ayr. They spent 60 years together and had a blessed life. They have two daughters, Margie (Drew) Pferrer of Brownsburg, IN. and Bobbi Jo (Chip) Flahive of Brook.
Bob worked for 43 years at Permonite/Intec in Morocco as a tool and die maker. He also was the owner of Bob’s Archery in Morocco. He ran this business first from his home basement. He then purchased the neighboring house and garage and built Bob’s Archery. He ran this business for 40+ years and met many wonderful customers he would then call a friend.
His love of the outdoors took him on many adventures. He has hunted moose, bear, buffalo, turkey, wild boar, caribou and loved to deep sea fish with his brother, Gene.
Along with his wife and two daughters he leaves behind two grandsons Cole Robert MacIntyre of Dublin, IN and Codie Michael MacIntyre (Celeste Tiberi) of Muster, IN. These boys were the sons he never had and he taught them the love of the outdoors too. They will always have wonderful memories of their Grandpa.
Bob also leaves behind six nephews and two nieces and a sister in law, Audrey Johnson of Escondido, California.
Those who made the journey to be with our heavenly father before Bob were Eric John Johnson, his father. His mother, Everal Fleming Hayes. Three brothers, Gene, Paul and Mick. Two nieces, Harriett Overmeyer and Roselyn Rush.
Per Bob’s wishes he will be cremated and his ashes will be spread with his loved ones at a later date.
