Roy Powell

Roy Powell, Sr., age 62 passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Rensselaer Care Center. He was born October 16, 1946 the son of the late Wilson and Barbara (Hoover) Powell. Roy had been a lifetime Jasper County resident and attended the Jasper County Schools. He married Carol Durflinger on August 29. 1963 in Tennessee. She preceded him in death. He had been employed as a union carpenter for Local #1005 in Hobart retiring in 2004.
