Sandra Mead

Sandra Mead, 75, of Morocco, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. She was born in Watseka, Illinois on February 8, 1941, daughter of the late Fred Lindgren, Jr. and Marjorie (Wright) Lindgren. She was a graduate of Donovan High School. On August 11, 1994, in Frankfort, Illinois, she married David Mead. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2015. She enjoyed playing bingo, crafts, crocheting and beadwork, and she was a diehard Chicago Cubs and Bulls fan.

Sandra is survived by her loving family: two daughters, Brenda (Steven) Wallace and Tina (Scott) O’Brien; son James (Betty) Rogers; stepson Jonathan (Jan) Mead; and nine grandchildren: Brittany, Stephanie, Amanda, Mitchell, Kevin, Casey, Molly, Cody, and Conner. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Fred and Marjorie Lindgren; husband David Mead; and brother David Lindgren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 1-2 p.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco with Chaplain Bob Rawlins officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
