Saundra Ora Sypult

Saundra Ora Sypult, 84, of Lake Village, Indiana passed away April 17, 2023, with her family at her side. She was born in Morocco on August 15, 1938, to the late LeRoy “Todd” Smart and Edmere (Gervais) Smart.

She worked many years as a bookkeeper and supervisor in the banking industry. Retiring in 2017 from DeMotte State Bank. Saundra was a humble Christian woman and was a member of Lake Village Presbyterian Church.

Saundra enjoyed gardening, potted flowers, bird watching, and reading books (especially her daily study of the Bible). In her younger years, Saundra enjoyed quilting, golfing, and outdoor life.

She is survived by her children, Brian Sypult (Vikki) and Karrie Cain (Kevin); grandchildren: Danny Keller (Jess) and Branden Sypult; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Edmere Falk; one brother, David Smart; and father of her children, Verlle Sypult.

Saundra was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Richard Smart, and infant brother Lawson Frank Smart born 11/12/1934.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date.
