Sharen Y. Clark

Sharen Y. Clark, 85, of Morocco, IN passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at Franciscan Health Crown Point. She was born in Lake Village, IN on January 4, 1939, the daughter of George and Leona (Behrens) Sypult. She graduated from Morocco High School and attended business school in Kankakee, IL.

On April 25, 1959, in Morocco, IN she married H. Scott Clark, and he survives.

Sharen was a homemaker and did the bookkeeping for the family farm. She was a member of the United Church of Morocco and Morocco Projects Unlimited. She was the former Jackson Township Trustee. She loved playing cards, especially bridge, and ran the Bridge-o-rama in Morocco, IN for several years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, flower gardening, and watching basketball. She was a big fan of Purdue sports.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Scott Clark of Morocco, IN; three children: King (Kelly) Clark of Morocco, IN, Jennifer (Bill) Bailey of Crown Point, IN and Hugh (Aurora) Clark of Rensselaer, IN; seven grandchildren: Megan (Ryan) Dorton of West Lafayette, IN, Anna Clark of West Lafayette, IN, Courtney (Brice) Willey of Fishers, IN, Shelby (Brandon) Wagner of Zionsville, IN, Brandi Wynn of Morocco, IN, Haylee (Kody) Wilson of Brook, IN and Merrissa Clark of Battle Ground, IN; one brother, Verlle Sypult of Rensselaer, IN; and one sister, Karen Manes of Hebron, IN. Nine great-grandchildren also survive: Griffin and Arden Dorton, Logan and Cameron Willey, Drew, Luke and Elijah Wagner, Landon Wynn and Auden Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leona Sypult; two brothers, Lane Sypult and Darwyne “PeeWee” Sypult; and two sisters-in-law, Sandy Sypult and Nancy Sypult.

Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2024 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral at 11 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home, 403 N. Front St., Rensselaer, IN 47978. Pastor Susan Martin officiating. Private family burial will be at Kennedy Cemetery.
