Sharron Anne Corbin

Sharron Anne Corbin, 84, of Rensselaer, IN passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at George Ade Memorial Health Care Center in Brook. She was born on March 14, 1939, in Rensselaer, to the late Edward Longeran, Sr. and Martha (Hielshire) Longeran.

She was a graduate of South Newton High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from St. Joseph’s College. She taught first and second grade at Wheatfield Elementary School for many years.

She married Edward Eugene “Bud” Corbin, Sr. on April 4, 1959. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2014.

She is survived by two sons, Ed (Mercedes) Corbin, Jr. of Lafayette, IN and Bill (Barbra) Corbin of Rensselaer, IN; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; and one sister.

Per Sharron’s wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Steinke Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements.
