Shirley Williams

Shirley A. Williams, age 68 of Morocco, passed away February 27, 2009 at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer. She was born in Colfax, Indiana on January 5, 1942, daughter of the late Danny and Rosie (Sargent) Thomas. She attended the Morocco Public Schools and was a lifetime Newton County resident. Prior to her retirement in 2004 she was a production laborer for 36 years with Permonite and Intec. She attended the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Morocco and for several years belonged to the Morocco Bunco Club. Children surviving are, Susan Babincsak of Morocco, Janet (Mrs. Robert) Bruce of Shelby and Cindy (Mrs. Daniel) Sutton of Francesville. Sister, Pauline (Mrs. Tharon) Pickett of Brook survives. There are 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and one son. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 3, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel in Morocco. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Ballard Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Morocco, Indiana.
