Walter Lee Lattimore, 79, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away at his home on Saturday, April 6, 2024. He was born July 28, 1944, the son of Glen and Margaret (Shindlar) Lattimore. He attended Fair Oaks High School.
On April 21, 1962, in Parr, Indiana he married Karen Kellner, and she survives.
Walter worked as a diesel mechanic, retiring from Castongia’s in Rensselaer. He loved NASCAR.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Lattimore; three children: Paul Lattimore (Dennise), Cheri Lattimore, and Patricia Fleming (Mike); two brothers, Larry Lattimore and Jerry Lattimore (Jo); six grandchildren: Jasmine Moore (Nick McGrew), Jade Eytcheson (Nate), Jack Ziese (Darian), Ryan Lattimore (Erica), Tim Fleming, and Jenelle Fleming; and three great-grandchildren: Carsyn Jesuit, Charlie Moore, and Noah Albana. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson in-law Jacob Moore, and son William Lattimore.
A graveside service will be held at Weston Cemetery in Rensselaer on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Michael Dillon officiating. A luncheon will be held at Brushwood Church following the service.
