William Arthur Lowe

William Arthur “Bill” Lowe, age 72, of Bloomington, IN, formerly of Morocco, IN, passed away April 15, 2026 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born in Rensselaer on March 2, 1954, the son of Arthur William and Leona May (Madison) Lowe.

Bill was a graduate of Morocco High School and Indiana Central College in Indianapolis. He studied math and was very good with numbers. After college, he returned to Morocco and was a concrete worker, helping his father with his business. He enjoyed collecting guns, archery, and going out to eat.

Bill is survived by three sisters: Joan Burris of Lafayette, IN, Judy (Mike) Cobleigh of Earl Park, IN and Jennie (Jerry) Kellner of Rensselaer, IN. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews: Margaret Burris (partner: Larry), Martha Miller (husband: Mark), Marilyn Cheever, Brenda Cobleigh (husband: Kenneth), Jim Cobleigh, Kelly Kellner, Kevin Kellner (wife: Shannon), Kristy Laffoon (husband: Nick), Cindy Niehus (husband: John), Terri Amos (husband: Mark), Gina Mumbower (husband: James), Sharon Dowty, Scott Wood (wife: April), Tim Wood, Amy Wood, and Debbie Ingram. Many great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Leona Lowe; four sisters: Jean Lasley, Betty Jane Dowty, Joyce Wood, and Nancy Ingram; his infant brother, Larry Lowe; four brothers-in-law: Leo Burris, Jack Lasley, Vernon Wood, and Jim Ingram; and five nephews: Glenn Cobleigh, Michael Cobleigh, Michael Ingram, Tom Dowty, and Rick Kellner.

Graveside services will be Monday, May 4, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. CDT at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Rensselaer. Rev. Mary van Wijk officiating.
