William Porter

William A. Porter, 62 of Morocco, passed away November 10, 2009 at Rensselaer Care Center. He was born in Rensselaer on January 8, 1947, son of the late Ira M. and Verna M. (Korth) Porter. He graduated from Morocco High School. On December 13, 1969, in Morocco, he married Marcia Wynn. She survives. Bill had been a farmer, truck driver and then worked in the Maintenance Department of American Group of Indiana at Hobart, retiring in September, 2008. Surviving are his wife, Marcia, daughter Holly Porter of Morocco, sons Tony (Tina) of Elizabeth, KY, and Todd (Amber) Porter of Lake Station, IN. Also, there are 11 grandchildren surviving. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister. Friends may visit with the family on November 12th from 5 until 7:00 P.M. at the Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel of Morocco. Cremation will follow the visitation.
