William West

WILLIAM W. “BILL” WEST, age 100 of Morocco passed away early Saturday morning, July 31, 2010, at George Ade Healthcare Center in Brook. Bill was a lifetime Morocco area resident and farmer, retiring in 1976. He was born on the Illinois-Indiana State Line, March 25, 1910, son of the late Lloyd and Margaret (Rainford) West and was educated in the Indiana and Illinois Public Schools. Bill was married to Anna (Filipek) West. She preceded him in death. Sons surviving are: Donald (Sally) West of Martinton, IL and Richard “Dick” (Joanna) West of Morocco. Sisters who survive are, Ruby (Raymond) Arseneau of Watseka, IL, Phyllis (Frank) Gladson of Mountain, Arkansas. There are 6 grandsons, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great granddaughters. Preceding Bill in death were his wife, an infant son, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation is at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel in Morocco Tuesday, August 3, 2010, from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Funeral services are Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home, Pastor Craig Forwalter officiating. Interment follows at Lake Village Cemetery.
