Wilma Loretta Murphy

Wilma Loretta Murphy, 90, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away at her home on Saturday, April 16, 2022. She was born in Knox County, Kentucky on January 21, 1932, the daughter of Walter and Irena (Vaughn) Hopkins.

She is survived by three daughters: Brenda Bass, Peggy “Loretta” (Max) Douglas and Tonjua (Jerrell) Gray. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; ten siblings; husband; three children: Leon, Susan and Rickey; son-in-law Thomas Bass; and grandson John Douglas.

Contributions in Wilma’s memory may be made to Faith Harvest Food Pantry, 503 E. Beaver St., Morocco, IN 47963, or visit her favorite place in the world, Jasper Junction, and say hello to the employees in her place.

Per Wilma’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services at this time. Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer has been entrusted with the arrangements.
