Obituary for Daryl Schultz

Daryl A. Schultz, age 65 of rural Rensselaer, passed away unexpectedly at his home Sunday, December 20, 2009. He was born in Rensselaer, May 2, 1944, son of the late Albert H. and Martha L. (Krueger) Schultz. Daryl was a lifetime Jasper County resident and graduated from Fair Oaks High School in 1962. On December 5, 1970, in Rensselaer, he married Norita Barton. She survives. He was a farmer and building & equipment fabricator. For several years Daryl served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Surviving, along with his wife, are children, Thonda (Chad) Jefferies of Remington, Denae (Dane) Martin, Wade (Christine) Schultz, Cole (Stephanie) Schultz, Reed Schultz, all of Rensselaer, sister, Marlene (Raymond) Mattocks of Rensselaer and 11 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, 1 brother and 1 grandson. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, December 29th from 8:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Rensselaer. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s with Pastor Edward Morrow officiating. Interment will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in rural Jasper County. Memorials are suggested to the family.
