Obituary for David Hinman Jr.

DAVID ALLEN HINMAN, JR. age 41 of North Judson passed away January 7, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Portage, IN. He had been in failing health for 2 years. He was born April 14, 1968 in Winamac, son of David Allen Hinman and Sharon Kay (Willis) Stalbaum. He was a lifetime Pulaski County resident and graduated from North Judson High School with the Class of 1987. He had been a driver for Alliance Ambulance Service for 4 or 5 years until declining health prevented him from working. His passion was helping others. Also, he enjoyed family, hunting and sports, especially watching the Cubs and Colts on television. Surviving are his parents, David Allen Hinman of Francesville and Sharon Kay (Mrs. Larry) Stalbaum of SanPierre; brothers, Johnny Hinman of Dewitt, IA, and Richard Hinman of Francesville; sisters, Lee Hinman of Lapaz, IN, Jenniffer (Mrs. Joe) Neira of Rensselaer and Kellie Brower of Ft. Wayne; grandparents surviving are, John & Joan Hinman of Francesville and Lucille Thompson of Rochester, IN. Memorials are suggested to the family. Visitation will be Saturday, January 9, 2010, from 9:30 until time of service at 11:30 A.M. at Steinke Funeral Home in Rensselaer. Pastor Dennis Gutwein will officiate. Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery. David was passionate about helping other people that were in need, often transporting them in his own car without reimbursement and opening his home that others would have a place to stay for awhile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
