Elsie L. Jones, age 85 of Morocco, passed away Monday morning, December 13, 2010 at George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center in Brook. She was born in Brook on October 19, 1925, daughter of the late Carl and Mary (Honn) Moline.

Elsie was a life long area resident and graduated from Brook High School in 1944. She was a member of the Lake Village Presbyterian Church, where she played the organ for several years. She was a homemaker and also worked for several area factories. She was a caregiver in her later years. Elsie loved the Lord. She also loved music and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Lester D. Laffoon of Morocco, Karen (Mrs. Billy) Harris of Brook, Kevin (wife: Cynthia) Laffoon of Rensselaer, and Brian (wife: Lorrie) Laffoon of Lake Village. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Lloyd H. Laffoon, second husband Donald M. Jones, brother Everett Moline, daughter-in-law Karen Laffoon, grandson Derrick Harris and great grandson Elijah McCoy.

Friends may call Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel of Morocco. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Lake Village Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jay Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery of Brook. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
