Etta was my second mom ... I was Lynn’s best friend, growing up on the southside of Chicago in our little neighborhood back in the 60s and early 70s before they moved to Calumet city I’m honored to have known her, all the Bock family, sorry about her passing.

Sorry to hear of Etta s passing. I loved her sense of humor and honesty. Such a humble lady. My parents enjoyed her for a neighbor. She became part of our family, so to speak. Shelly always brought her sweets, jello cake with cool whip was her favorite. She always stood by the door and waved goodbye, as you drove off. She couldn’t get over losing Lynn, and and gave me advice when my daughter died. She always gave the trash men a cold pop in a cooler, surely they loved her too. Once I gave her a book, Why Good People Die, always wondered if she read it, hope so. Her family lived a distance from her and had health issues. She really worried about them, not seeing them often. Her Rensselaer family really stepped up to the plate for her. Lynn, Mark, and granddaughters. She had a curly top great grandson that she adored. So very we won’t get to come to the wake, you were there for us when my dad passed. Etta was a dear lady and we were honored to have known her. Jan wright💜
