Garnita Webb, age 93 of Morocco, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center in Brook. She was born May 6, 1918 in Grant Park, IL, daughter of the late William Bean and Nora (Perkins) Bean.

Garnita moved to Kentucky as a child, and spent many years in the Campbellsville area. On Dec. 22, 1934, in Campbellsville, she married Phillip Alton Webb. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1992. Garnita was a homemaker. She also worked in production at Permonite Manufacturing Co. in Morocco for 25 years, and was a cook at “The Lunch Box” restaurant in Morocco. She enjoyed playing Bunco and being a member of Weight Watchers, where she weighed in the members each week.

Garnita is survived by a son, Harliss Webb (wife: Martha) of Ambia, IN; four daughters, Delores Neuschwander (husband: Jim) of Watseka, IL, Carolyn Wardle (husband: Gary) of Brownsburg, IN, Phyllis Agent (husband: Steve) and Norma Jean McMahan (husband: Mike) all of Campbellsville, KY; a sister, Marie Karnes also of Campbellsville, KY. Seventeen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Donald Webb and Larry Webb; a sister, Mary Grant; and a brother, Thomas Bean.

Friends may call Friday, August 5, 2011 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. CST at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel of Morocco. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10 a.m. Rev. Thomas D. Vance and Rev. Greg Waggoner officiating. Interment will follow at Buswell Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Morocco Volunteer Fire Department.
