Obituary for Harold C. Beasley

Harold C. Beasley, 73, of Lake Village, passed away at his home on Friday evening, June 14th surrounded by his family. Harold was also known through the years as Sage, Jewel, Harry, Beas and Poppy. He was born in Nancy, Kentucky on November 23, 1939, son of the late Claude and Marie (Tarter) Beasley. He graduated from Brook High School and on April 15, 1961 he married Sharon Severs.

Harold worked at Inland Steel for 10 years. He was then the co-owner of Home Furnishings in Kentland for 10 years, during which time Harold and his wife traveled to Italy, France, Africa, the Canary Islands and Mexico. In 1976, he started his own trucking company, Beasley Trucking. Harold was awarded for 22 years of safe driving with 3 million miles driven at Landstar Trucking. He was affiliated with Roselawn United Methodist Church and was a past president of the Coon Hunters Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, bluegrass music, washing and waxing cars and working in his yard.

Harold is survived by his loving family: wife Sharon Beasley of Lake Village; two daughters, Becky (Charley) Hurst of Moore Haven, Florida and Angela Beasley of Nancy, Kentucky; four grandchildren: Sara Iseminger, Emily Robertson, Timothy Baker and Hanna Woodcox; and three great-grandchildren: Madalynn & Dawson Iseminger and Raylen Adkins. He was preceded in death by: his parents and one brother.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 18th from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Pastor Dennis Morros officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
