Swim Team Coach
I remember Mr. Snell as a dedicated swim coach. He coached me from 7-12 grade. As my older siblings swam the longest race there was in swimming, the 500 meter race, Mr. Snell just thought it was in our family blood. He handed that legacy off to me. I remember getting out of the pool, red faced and dripping sweat...and him saying I needed to grab a towel and dry off. I had to tell him, "I already dried off coach...that's sweat!" He would just smile. I also, remember coach Snell having to jump in the deep end of the pool to rescue poor Randy Burton from nearly drowning while trying to finish his 500 meter practice laps. That was funny to watch...but, we all knew how devoted Jack was to us. He was willing to jump in, fully dressed to pull us out at any given time. Thanks Jack for that! You helped shape us kids to what we are today. Rest in peace coach.
Sincerely,
