June Alexander, 90, of Morocco, passed away Thursday morning, January 3, 2013, at George Ade Memorial Health Care Center in Brook. June was born in Bristol, TN on September 10, 1922, the daughter of the late John R. Fritz and Florence (Thompson) Fritz. Her marriage was to E.T. Alexander in 1943. He preceded her in death.

June worked for Garst and Dekalb sorting corn and she was a supervisor for Permonite Manufacturing Co. in Morocco for 33 years, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed shopping, reading and working crossword puzzles.

June is survived by five nieces, Loleta (Ernest) Mann of Port Isabelle, TX, Mildred (Kenneth) Angel of North Carolina, Juanita (Larry) Conley of Kentland, Barbara Hennin of DeMotte, and Brenda Bilbrey of Nashville; one nephew, Walter (Teresa) Alexander of Mt. Ayr; and one sister, Ilene (John) Teeples of Crossville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. until noon (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at noon with Pastor James Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Donations in June’s memory are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or George Ade Memorial Health Care Center.
