Obituary for Mary Bertram

Mary S. Bertram, 62 of Morocco, passed away Wed., Oct. 5, 2011 at her home. She was born Dec. 12, 1948 in Morocco, daughter of the late William F. Bertram, Sr. and Leta M. (Jackson) Bertram. She was a lifelong area resident. Mary graduated from Morocco High School with the class of 1967 and graduated from Indiana Central College in Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971.

Mary worked for 34 years as an administrative assistant at Intec Corp. in Morocco, retiring in 2007. After her retirement she worked at the Morocco Public Library. She attended the Evangelical United Methodist Church of Morocco. She enjoyed doing needlework, watching old movies and traveling. She especially enjoyed her two trips to Europe in 1970 and 1972. Mary loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and her cat “Nellie”.

Mary is survived by two brothers: William F. Bertram, Jr. (wife: Sandra) of Fair Oaks and Thomas Bertram (wife: Julie) of Morocco, and two sisters: Gail Goad of Ft. Myers, FL and Florence Burnside of Morocco. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Friends may call Sat., Oct. 8, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel of Morocco with Rev. Royal Voeller officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Hemophilia of Indiana.
