PAUL E. HOSKINS, age 79 of Morocco passed away Saturday evening, September 19, 2009 at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer. He was born in Advance, Indiana on July 5, 1930 a son of the late Oliver and Fronia (Wilson) Hoskins. He had lived in Morocco since 1951 moving there from Jamestown, Indiana. He was educated in the Boone County Public Schools and proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army. He was employed at the Post Office for 35 years as a clerk and rural mail carrier, retiring in 1989. On December 6, 1951 he married Bonnie (Lanning). She survives. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Morocco and a former member of the American Legion. Along with his wife Bonnie, one daughter survives, Polly (Mrs. Charles “Mitch”) Conover of Midlothian, Virginia. Surviving are a brother, Oliver “Junior” (Lorene) Hoskins of Dayton, Ohio and two sisters, Martha (Wendell) Ridner of Brownsburg, IN and Mary Hoskins of Indianapolis, IN. There are 3 grandchildren surviving. Preceding him in death were his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may call from 4 until 7 P.M., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel of Morocco. Funeral services will be held at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 23rd, Pastor Greg Waggner officiating. Interment follows at Russell Chapel Cemetery in Morocco.
