Ralph W. Manns, age 63 of Rensselaer passed away Tuesday evening, August 10, 2010 at Jasper County Hospital. Ralph was born in Tipton, Kentucky on August 28, 1946 a son of the late Wed and Rosie (Bailey) Manns and received his education at the Kentucky Public Schools. He had lived in Rensselaer since moving here from Kentucky in 1965. On March 25, 1966 in Salyersville, Kentucky he married Cleo (Collins) Manns. Ralph was employed for over 20 years at Sealy Spring Corporation retiring in 2007. Children surviving are: Ricky (Char) Manns, Marvin (Duanna) Manns, Rita K. (Doug) Koebcke, all of Rensselaer and Chandice Manns of Wolcott. 17 grandchildren also survive. Siblings who survive are: Sallie (William) Spencer, Linda (David) Murrillo, Karen (Gary) Peterson, Finley Manns, all of Rensselaer; Ellis Manns of Wolcott; Wayne Manns, Scottie Manns and Debbie Manns, all of Demotte; Monroe (Vickie) Manns of LaPorte; Phillip (Faye) Manns of Kentucky; Henrietta (Charles) Spears and Skid (Louise) Manns, all of Lafayette. His companion, Carol Wireman also survives. Preceding Ralph in death were his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, numerous nephews and nieces. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 13th from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. (Rensselaer Time) at Steinke Funeral Home in Rensselaer. Funeral services will be Steinke Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. (Rensselaer Time) on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in rural Jasper County. Memorials are suggested to the family
