Obituary for William Brunton

William Keith Brunton, 91 of Morocco passed away unexpectedly May 7, 2010 at Jasper County Hospital. He was born March 6, 1919, son of the late Harry and Celle (Archibald) Brunton and was a lifetime Jasper-Newton County resident. He graduated from Morocco High School in 1936 and on September 1, 1940 married Wilma Stoner in Crown Point, Indiana. She survives. “Keith” was in the U.S. Army and was involved in feed-grain elevator business for 25 years before working as a carpenter. He belonged to the Morocco American Legion. Surviving is his wife Wilma, brother, John (wife, Florence) Brunton and sisters-in-laws, Arlene (Mrs. John) Lonergan and Valarie Brunton of Rensselaer and Dorothy Brunton of Morocco. Several nieces and nephews survive. Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Fondrene and brothers, Harry A, Jerry, Dean and Lavere Brunton. Memorials are suggested to Buzzy Stoner Skateboard Park, % Morocco Lions Club. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 10, 2010 from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel, 101 East Beaver St. in Morocco. Rev. Royal Voeller will officiate the service. Interment follows at Oakland Cemetery of Morocco.
